Naloxone Distribution and Education

CORE is working to combat increasing opioid-related overdose rates in Georgia by distributing Narcan® (naloxone) nasal spray at select CORE mobile sites throughout Georgia. Naloxone is a life-saving medication that can rapidly reverse overdose from opioids, including fentanyl, heroin, and prescription opioid medications when given in time. Individuals can obtain naloxone from CORE sites upon request, as well as receive education about its proper use.

Health Outreach Program

CORE operates a Health Outreach Program throughout Georgia to increase education and support communities facing health disparities. CORE provides health outreach services, including benefits navigation, resource coordination, and health education, in partnership with the Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) and the Department of Children and Family Services (DFCS).

With the help of our team of Health Outreach Coordinators, these services support Georgians at a community level, specifically targeting marginalized populations with limited access to or knowledge of community resources.
