Annie serves as CORE’s Senior Director of Global Communications. Born and raised in South Florida, she knows firsthand how vital community building is in the wake of disasters and is deeply aligned with service-oriented missions. As an award-winning journalist and marketer, Annie is a passionate believer in transformational storytelling. She specializes in highlighting the powerful details that bring complex messaging to life. She brings experience in brand building, content creation, and strategic communications, with a talent for amplifying untold stories that open hearts and minds.  

At CORE, Annie advances departmental staff and needs, internal and external communications, and works closely with the Development Department to successfully execute digital fundraising campaigns and major donor outreach. Prior to joining CORE, Annie worked for several news outlets including The Navajo Times, The Kansas City Star, and ABC San Diego. She also worked for two global startups before transitioning to lead nonprofit communications teams. She holds a Bachelor of Journalism in Strategic Communications from the University of Missouri, Columbia.
