PRESS RELEASE

PARIS HILTON PARTNERS WITH CORE TO PROVIDE CASH ASSISTANCE & RESOURCES FOR FAMILIES IMPACTED BY LA WILDFIRES

LOS ANGELES – January 2025 Today, Paris Hilton announced a partnership with CORE (Community Organized Relief Effort) – a global humanitarian organization co-founded by Sean Penn and Ann Lee – to provide a generous donation aimed at supporting families affected by the wildfires in Los Angeles County.

“As a mother, I’m heartbroken to see families with young children whose lives have been uprooted by these devastating fires,” said Paris Hilton. “Los Angeles is my home, and I’m committed to helping rebuild our community. I’m proud to partner with an LA-based, trusted organization like CORE to provide support to families and uplift those in need during this challenging time.”

Paris is contributing to CORE’s efforts to distribute cash voucher assistance, which allows individuals and families to purchase the items they most urgently need. This cash assistance gives affected families agency in deciding how to fulfill their pressing needs, on their own terms. Recipients can use cash and/or vouchers to purchase baby items, clothing, medicines, gas for their car, and other essential items.

“We’re closely monitoring the situation and responding in real time to the pressing needs of the most vulnerable communities across LA” said Ann Lee, CORE CEO & Co-Founder. “In addition to cash assistance, our staff and volunteers are distributing N95 masks, hygiene kits, and other resources to protect people from debris in areas where the quality of air is a major concern.”

CORE has extensive experience providing wildlife relief in California. Last year, the organization supported victims of the wildfires in Maui with cash assistance and vital resources. In Northern California, CORE has been providing physical defense of homes, educating communities about disaster prevention, and introduced Fire Aside to residents, an app that assesses fire risks in peoples’ homes and effectively act as a fire alert system for users.
