Georgia COVID-19 Response

CORE is providing free COVID-19 relief directly to vulnerable and marginalized communities across Georgia.

Public Health | 2020-now

What is the COVID-19 situation in Georgia?

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Georgia has been one of the hardest-hit areas in the U.S., ranking high among all states for positive case and death counts. It has also held one of the lowest vaccination rates in the nation.

How has CORE helped provide COVID-19 relief in Georgia?

Since April 2020, CORE has been working with local partners to provide equitable access to COVID-19 relief, targeting marginalized and vulnerable populations who have been devastated by the pandemic.

CORE’s efforts in Georgia have been quickly adapting to community needs throughout the pandemic. Alongside our partners, we have run a free mass COVID-19 testing site at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, an innovative mobile testing unit operation bringing services directly to communities, Case Investigation and Resource Coordination program, and a statewide mobile vaccination program.

What are CORE’s current COVID-19 relief efforts in Georgia?

With our partners, CORE continues to operate a statewide mobile vaccination program bringing life-saving vaccines directly to marginalized and hard-to-reach populations across Georgia. Our sites offer COVID-19 vaccines in accordance with CDC guidelines. Please reference the CDC website for the latest COVID-19 information.

Our local teams also run communication and community health outreach, health equity services, and chronic health worker programs. Click here for more information on CORE’s health equity efforts in Georgia.
