Who we are.
We are a humanitarian organization that brings immediate relief and recovery to underserved communities across the globe. With COMMUNITY BUILDING as our north star, our strategic pillars are:
WHO DO WE SUPPORT?
Marginalized and vulnerable communities impacted by natural and man-made humanitarian disasters worldwide.
What sets CORE apart is our community-powered approach. Our efforts are informed and fueled by local hands. We listen, we learn and then we act – because local communities know best what their needs are and how to fill them. True to our ethos, we prioritize cash and voucher assistance (CVA) to ensure people living through a disaster have the freedom and flexibility to meet their unique needs, on their own terms.
WE ARE RESPONDING
With our generous supporters and partners, we’ve delivered immediate response and long-term recovery solutions to marginalized populations in 27 regions worldwide.
What makes us Unique.
WE LISTEN, WE LEARN,
AND THEN WE ACT.
CORE responds quicky and nimbly to empower underserved communities in and beyond crisis.
We tap into community knowledge through key partnerships to understand how to meet each local community’s unique and evolving needs. Our efforts are powered by the communities we serve and focus on addressing holistic needs beyond the crisis at hand.
One way we empower disaster-stricken communities is through cash and voucher assistance. For people who have lost everything – like those impacted by the Los Angeles fires – cash assistance empowers them to purchase what they need, when they need it. Whether it’s buying gas, groceries, or new school supplies, they have the dignity of choice. After working in disaster areas around the world, CORE knows firsthand that this service is the most effective way to get people back on their feet after crisis.

Cash and voucher assistance, also known as CVA, is a way of delivering humanitarian relief that strengthens communities during a crisis. In times of extreme loss and instability, cash assistance gives power and flexibility back to the people actually impacted by disasters.
As the third anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine nears, it’s important to look past the headlines and remember those on the ground, the ones who’ve faced the brunt of the aggression and endured the unrelenting harsh conditions.
