Beatrice “Bea” Louis has overseen operations across five offices, including Washington D.C., North Carolina, Kentucky, Chicago, and New Orleans. Her work involves ensuring the efficient and consistent functionality of program processes, serving as a bridge between regional teams and headquarters, and advocating for area office needs while seamlessly implementing HQ policies. 

For Bea, CORE program teams are the heart and soul of our work. She works daily with her staff—most of whom are local hires deeply embedded in the communities they serve—to track program progress and identify and address growth opportunities tailored to the needs of their respective region. She’s watched as these teams tackle pressing climate and public health issues and empower their own communities with tools to address longstanding disparities and inequalities.  

This localized approach resonates with Bea, whose career trajectory is largely informed by her background as a Haitian-American. Before joining CORE, Bea spent most of her work experience within the international development sector in Haiti, where she and her family are from. There, for eleven and a half years, she worked in project management on USAID-funded projects with global development organizations. Bea holds a BS from University of Maryland and a Master’s from the Robert F. Wagner School at New York University specializing in urban planning in international development.
