LOS ANGELES FIRES

Navigating Disaster: CORE’s Los Angeles Fires Resource Hub

This past week has been destabilizing for so many Angelenos. Families directly impacted by the Los Angeles fires are juggling compounding needs, from securing shelter and emergency items like water or baby formula, to filing insurance claims and complex FEMA applications all while they process this devastating new reality.

It feels like we all know someone who’s been impacted by the fires. The CORE team has compiled some essential resources and information to help guide next steps.

Visit Local Assistance and Disaster Recovery Centers. These locations are where impacted people and business owners can apply for federal assistance and access other available resources from local, state, and nonprofit agencies. Support services can include learning about disaster assistance programs, finding housing and rental assistance information, meeting with state agency representatives, and receiving help from nonprofits.
