Sae-A Renews Long-term Support of CORE with $6 Million for Ukraine Restoration Efforts
LOS ANGELES – November 2023 – CORE (Community Organized Relief Effort) is pleased to announce that it has received a $6 million grant from Global Sae-A Co., Ltd. This grant is just one in a long line of contributions from its trusted partner, who has shown a committed effort to help internally displaced persons (IDPs) following the outbreak of the large–scale conflict in Ukraine in February 2022.
As the harsh winter months approach, CORE will use this crucial grant to help the estimated 3.6 million IDPs across Ukraine. These vital funds will provide critical housing solutions for Ukrainians close to the frontlines of conflict in eastern areas, including Donetsk, Kharkiv, Kherson, Mykolaiv, Odesa, and Zaporizhia Oblasts.
With this grant, CORE will supply cash voucher assistance, food support, and key resources such as generators, stoves, and blankets to address the needs of vulnerable individuals as temperatures drop to dangerous levels.

CORE will also use these funds to scale up ongoing infrastructure rehabilitation efforts near Lviv and Ternopil in western Ukraine to address the needs of IDPs forced to flee to these cities. These projects will focus on retrofitting and upgrading educational and health facilities to safely accommodate the continued influx of displaced persons. In addition, CORE will work with regional partners to reinforce critical potable water, power, and sewage systems.
CORE is deeply grateful for Global Sae-A Group’s continued generosity. Through this partnership, CORE has already supported thousands of people in Ukraine, and with this additional contribution, CORE can assist countless more.
“Our partnership with Sae-A has been crucial to our response to the conflict in Ukraine.” Jerome Lebleu, Chief Operating Officer at CORE, said. “Sae-A is dedicated to helping those most affected by the Russian invasion. These critical funds will help those most at risk as winter approaches.”
A Global Sae-A Group official said, “Sae-A will continue to support the restoration efforts from the conflict in Ukraine, realizing our commitment to global welfare.” They added, “We hope our hand provides both warmth and hope to communities in need.”
